Yes, Indian passport holders require a Visa on Arrival (VoA) to enter Indonesia, payable at Ngurah Rai International Airport upon arrival (approximately USD 35). This visa covers your entire stay across Bali, Nusa Penida, and the Gili Islands as they all fall within Indonesia. No prior application is needed. We’ll brief you fully on the process before travel. Always confirm the latest visa requirements before your trip as policies can change.
Indonesia uses the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Carry cash in USD & convert it into IDR as many places across Bali and especially on the Gili Islands operate on a cash-only basis β local markets, beach bars, cidomo rides, snorkelling trips, and smaller restaurants. International cards are accepted at hotels and larger establishments. Exchange currency at licensed money changers in Kuta or Seminyak. On the Gili Islands especially, always carry enough cash as ATMs can have limited availability.
Both Bali and the Gili Islands are best visited during the dry season from April to October. May, June, and September are the sweet spot β excellent weather, calm seas, and fewer tourists. July and August are peak season with stunning conditions but higher prices and more crowds. November to March is the wet season β occasional heavy showers but lush landscapes and the most affordable prices.
The ferry from Bali to the Gili Islands takes approximately 2β3 hours depending on sea conditions and the operator. The journey crosses the Lombok Strait and offers beautiful views of Bali’s volcanic coastline and the open ocean. Fast boat ferries are the standard mode of travel and are generally comfortable β though seas can be choppy at times. We recommend carrying seasickness tablets if you are sensitive to motion on water. The arrival at Gili Trawangan β stepping off the boat onto a car-free island β is an experience in itself.
The Gili Islands Snorkelling Tour is one of the most memorable experiences of the entire trip. You’ll visit three spectacular spots on a shared boat (up to 25 passengers): the eerie and beautiful Underwater Statue Garden β a submerged art installation that has become a thriving coral reef; Turtle Point β where wild sea turtles glide effortlessly through the warm clear water right beside you; and a Turtle Sanctuary β where conservation workers nurture turtle eggs until the hatchlings are ready for the ocean. You’ll also explore the vibrant coral reefs around Gili Meno. Basic swimming ability is recommended. All snorkelling equipment is provided.
Gili Trawangan β or simply “Gili T” as it’s known β is one of the most unique and magical destinations in Southeast Asia. With no cars or motorbikes allowed anywhere on the island, it has a wonderfully peaceful, timeless quality during the day β perfect for cycling, snorkelling, and beach-combing. At night, it transforms into one of Indonesia’s most vibrant nightlife destinations, with beach bars, live music, and bonfires along the shore. For couples and honeymooners, it offers the perfect balance of romance and adventure β stunning sunsets, turquoise waters, and barefoot beach dinners under the stars.
The Kecak Fire Dance at Uluwatu is one of the most unforgettable cultural experiences in all of Southeast Asia. Performed at sunset at the clifftop amphitheatre of Uluwatu Temple, over 50 men chant in hypnotic unison while enacting scenes from the Hindu epic Ramayana β complete with fire, drama, and a blazing orange sky over the Indian Ocean as the backdrop. It is deeply spiritual, visually stunning, and emotionally moving. An absolute must for any Bali trip.
The Floating Breakfast is Bali’s most iconic and Instagrammable villa experience β a beautifully arranged breakfast tray of tropical fruits, pastries, eggs, juices, and coffee that floats on the surface of your private pool while you soak in the warm Balinese morning. It has become synonymous with Bali’s luxury villa culture and is the perfect, indulgent way to close out your 9-day adventure on the island. Included in your package on departure morning at the Ubud Private Pool Villa.
Your final two nights are spent in a Private Pool Villa in Ubud β a luxurious retreat surrounded by Ubud’s lush jungle, traditional Balinese architecture, and serene tropical sounds. Most villas feature your own private plunge or swimming pool, open-air garden bathroom, king-sized bed, and a private terrace. It’s the ultimate romantic and relaxing experience β ideal for couples and honeymooners wrapping up an incredible island adventure in absolute style.
This is one of our most sought-after honeymoon packages β and for very good reason. From the magical Kecak sunset dance and Nusa Penida island escape, to sea turtles in Gili, beachside sunsets on a car-free island, soaring above Ubud’s jungle canopy on the Bali Swing, and ending with a floating breakfast in your private pool β every single day has a naturally romantic and cinematic quality. We can also arrange honeymoon special add-ons on request including floral room decoration, welcome cake, couples spa session, candlelight villa dinner, and professional couples photoshoots. Just mention it while booking!
Pick up a local prepaid SIM card at Ngurah Rai International Airport upon arrival from providers like Telkomsel, XL Axiata, or Indosat. Plans are affordable and work well across Kuta, Seminyak, and Ubud. Coverage on Nusa Penida can be patchy in remote spots. On the Gili Islands, connectivity is more limited β WiFi is available at most hotels and restaurants but mobile data can be slow. Download offline maps before heading to Gili. eSIM options are available for compatible phones and can be activated before departure.
